When a Florist Gets Married
People often wonder what it is like when a florist gets married. Let me tell you, you end up with carefully thought out designs and flowers everywhere! I had the honor of doing Becky, a fellow florist friend, and Carl’s wedding.
Becky and I met while enrolled at Goldenwest College, in Huntington Beach, CA. We were both students in the Floral Design program. Yes, you can go to school for floristry, I actually strongly encourage it! When Becky reached out and asked if I would do the flowers for her wedding, I didn’t hesitate for a minute, I said yes.
Becky and Carl wanted a modern spin on a boho themed wedding. The florals were dusty pinks, peaches, and browns. We incorporated some greens and a lot of natural dried materials. With my amazing team of fellow “GWC floral family” florists, we created an amazing day for Becky and Carl.
